Name:
Edward Alvarez
Occupation:
Financier
Eyes:
Brown
Hair:
Black
Secret I.D.:
BRAVO

AS EDWARD:
Edward Alvarez is the son of Felipe and MaryAnn Alvarez. Although Edward has had a "traditional upbringing," somewhere along the line his attitude has changed.
For the better... for the worse? It all remains to be seen. And, most don't notice any difference at all.
Only his closest of friends and family can see Edward's gradual change from a
shrewd no-frills, no-nonsense businessman to a seemingly more greedy interior.
For now, Edward seems comfortable with his job description: a financier of advanced technology, and has amassed quite a nest egg. Edward has a history of granting start-up funds for new technology companies and making great financial returns from the choices he has made.
Some say he is just lucky, while he attributes his fortune to his ability to see the "inventive in the inventor," not just the "inventive in the invention." This has become somewhat of a standard reply when questioned about his success.
That motto carries into all aspects of Edward's life.
He prides himself on the ability to make critical judgments in pressure situations and believes strongly that it is this thought separating a good decision from a great one.

AS BRAVO:

Funny, how a mask can change a person's life.
Edward, under the guise of the mercenary known as BRAVO, has really caused quite a clamor in the media.

° "Who is this BRAVO?"
° "What is his real motive?"
° "Where does he come from?"
° "What pattern is there to the crimes he solves?"

All good questions... No good answers.
Why?...
Because
BRAVO works for the highest bidder. And we can all rest a little easier knowing that the government always seems to be that bidder... Right???
BRAVO only accepts the jobs he wants to accept. Unlike other government employed hyper-heroes he is on no one's payroll. He expects to be rewarded handsomely for his service and has proven his ability to deliver time and time again.
The missions he chooses to accept are not always big media attention-getters, rather, most offerings are top secret and of the utmost importance. As with many sensitive operations in the government, some actions may not be deemed the most honorable, but someone has to sweep the dirt under the rug when nobody's looking.
You could say he's the government's highest paid janitor... and he's not afraid to get his hands dirty.

THE WEAPON SYSTEM:
"It's not just a weapon... it's a weapon system!"
Bravo's Weapon System, without a doubt, is one of the most uniquely designed and talked about crimefighting items to date. Bravo is constantly improving his skill with the system, and always looking for ways to upgrade the system.
Given Edward's reputation and fine eye for new technology, this was one design the world at large couldn't have. Edward was impressed with the weapon system when it was just a "weapon."
Simply, one segmented flexible titanium alloy rod shaped like a baton.
At a private demonstration of this "weapon" in a small-time inventor's lab, Dr. Louis Therquist, gave Edward the demonstration that changed his life. Edward immediately arranged for a cash transfer to the doctor, bought the designs, and further contracted the doctor to create several more "versions" of the weapon. Since then, Dr. Therquist has become a faithful friend to Edward and has created several other technological pieces that have been sold worldwide.

The "weapon system" that Bravo uses has a variety of functions. On it's face, each rod acts as a baton. The batons then can be joined together end-to-end to form a lengthier instrument and can be used as such. An example of this would be a staff. The key component to the "weapon system's" interchangeability is a secret as well guarded as Bravo's true identity.
The component that is so important to the system is his powered gloves. The gloves are designed to boost the wearer's neural information and transmit the users unconscious action/reaction to the segmented batons allowing the batons to act like the users own hand or arm. Simple thought can make the rods come alive to bend and twist however desired. As long as the baton is in contact with the glove the rod literally becomes an extension of the users body.
Some example uses of this process would be a cane, a pole-vault or a "whip." And, that's not all. there are many other features included within the batons, all ready to be used at the user's whim.
